Green smoothies and shakes are becoming more and more popular are a healthy way to start your day. This shake is full of healthy ingredients including hemp hearts, matcha powder, spirulina, and kale to get your day started right. It also includes a touch of caffeine which makes it a great replacement to coffee in the morning. My other favorite time of day to enjoy this shake is after a workout. Since it contains a lot of protein as well as a potassium packed banana, it is a great recovery drink after a tough workout.
Ingredients
4 cups water
3 tbsp hemp hearts
1 tsp matcha powder (green tea powder – contains caffeine)
1 tsp spirulina powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pear/apple (core removed)
3 small kale leaves (stalks removed)
1 banana
1 Tbsp maple syrup
Directions
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high.
