I am starting to test new recipes for another dessert cookbook and yesterday I attempted to make Italian Butter Cookies. These are traditionally supposed to be piped out of a pastry bag with a big star tip, but I don’t have pastry bags. I tried using my icing gun, but it just wasn’t working. I didn’t want to waste the batter, so I rolled the batter into small balls. They taste awesome, now I just have to get a proper piping bag set and make them again so we can photograph them for the book.
