The Holidays are just around the corner and that means buying gifts which can sometimes be a difficult task if you have no idea what to buy. I have put together this holiday gift guide featuring some of my favorite things (some I own, others are on my wish list) so that it will hopefully give you some ideas if you are stuck 🙂
Gifts for chocolate lovers:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Goldenberg Peanut Chews Original Dark – My husband and I ordered some of these a few weeks ago, and I’m ashamed to admit that we finished a 3lb bag of them in about a week. They were so good we just couldn’t help ourselves. Who can resist chocolate and peanuts together? And the best part is, they’re vegan.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Ghirardelli Premium Hot Cocoa – I love hot chocolate, but I have found it difficult to find a vegan hot chocolate powder. When I found out that Ghirardelli makes hot cocoa mixes that are vegan, I had to order some. I ordered double chocolate, and I can’t wait to try it.

Gifts for coffee & tea lovers:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Variable Temperature Kettle – My husband is big coffee and tea drinker, so I just bought one of these for him for his birthday. What’s great about this kettle is that it has 6 preset heat settings for steeping tea at just the right temperature. There’s even a french press setting, which my husband says has made a huge difference in the taste of his coffee.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Bodum Tea Press – This tea press is great for tea lovers. The only way we make tea now, is with loose tea in a tea press. We have owned our tea press for a couple of years now, and wouldn’t go back to tea bags.[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Bodum French Press – I don’t drink coffee, but my husband drinks enough for both of us 😉 He has owned many coffee makers, but a few years ago he switched from a traditional drip coffee maker to a french press. He says his coffee is now more flavorful, faster to make, and there’s less waste because it doesn’t use coffee filters.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]David’s Tea – This is where we buy all our loose tea from. They have black, white, green, rooibos, oolong, mate, herbal and pu’erh teas in some of the most amazing flavors. Our favorite tea is their organic creme brulee rooibos tea. You can order online and they ship within North America.[/threecol_two_last]
Gifts for her:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last] Furry Wedge Winter Knee Boots – I don’t own a pair of these yet, but I’m hoping someone will get these for me. They look so warm and cozy and they’re really cute too. Best of all they’re made with faux leather and faux fur.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Guess Handbag – This is another item that is going on my wish list. Made with vinyl, so it’s vegan friendly, this handbag is sure to please any woman you give it to.
[/threecol_two_last]
Gifts for him:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Genuine Non-Leather Belts – It’s hard to find men’s belts that are both stylish and vegan. Well, look no further than Truth Belts. Made from quality materials, these belts are made to last.[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]SureFire LED Flashlight – We live out in the country, so it’s important that we have a high powered flashlight. This one from SureFire has a high and low setting and provides an immense amount of light. Great for using when taking the dogs out for a walk at night.
[/threecol_two_last]
Gifts for the family:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]XBox 360 Kinect – I own an original Xbox 360 and we have had so much fun with, but I’m hoping to upgrade to a Kinect soon. I love playing video games, but I hate that I’m just sitting on my butt, so I love the idea of the Kinect because you get your whole body in the game.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Flip Mino HD Video Camera – I love my Flip Mino, it’s small enough to fit in my purse or pocket and the video quality is amazing for such a small camera. It’s so simple to use and is very inexpensive for an HD video camera.
[/threecol_two_last]
Gifts for book lovers:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Stieg Larson’s Millennium Trilogy – From the moment I started reading the first book in this series, I was hooked and couldn’t put them down. I have finished all 3 books now, and I’ve passed them along to anyone that I know who loves to read.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]The Hunger Games Trilogy – I haven’t read this trilogy yet, but it is the next series I plan on reading. I have heard nothing but good things about these books and I can’t wait to start reading them.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Kindle Touch – I don’t own a Kindle, but that’s just because I’m old fashioned and I like flipping the pages of a book. I do have quite a few friends who own them though and swear by them. I have often considered getting one just for when I travel, just so I don’t have to lug heavy books in my suitcase.
[/threecol_two_last]
Gifts for techies:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Apple iPad 2 – I am proud to admit that I am a techie. I love gadgets, and the iPad is one of my favorite “toys”. I love that I can take it into the kitchen with me and look up recipes or just surf the web or play Angry Birds while I’m chilling on the couch.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Canon 5D Mark II Digital SLR – This camera is not only a great still camera, but it also shoots full 1920×1080 HD video. What I love most about this camera is how it instantly responds when you press the shutter button, unlike my cheap point and shoot that takes up to 4 seconds to respond. This is a pricey camera, but if you or someone you know is serious about photography, you need a serious camera.
[/threecol_two_last]
Gifts for movie lovers:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Harry Potter 8 Film Collection – Not only have I read all of the Harry Potter books, I’ve also seen and own all the movies. A must have for anyone who collects movies.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Forks Over Knives – This documentary takes a critical look at the consequences of Western dietary habits and the benefits of a plant based diet. A great gift for documentary junkies like myself.
[/threecol_two_last]
Gifts for the cook:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer – If you have someone who loves to bake, then this is the perfect gift. I have had my KitchenAid mixer for almost 10 years now and it’s still going strong. It works like a charm and they come in so many cool colors, they’re also nice to look at.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Zwilling J.A. Henckels Knives – Every good cook needs a good set of knives and in my opinion, Henckels are the best. I’ve been using my chef’s knife for years now, and I still haven’t had to sharpen it. Definitely well worth the money.
[/threecol_two_last]
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Are You Sure That’s Vegan? – Okay, shameless self promotion here, but don’t take my word for it, check out what VegNews had to say about my book. “Any of the amazing recipes will be devoured at your office’s holiday party and may prove to be the perfect introduction to just how good vegan food can be.”
[/threecol_two_last]
Gifts for the animal lover:
[threecol_one]
[/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last]Paws & Give – I volunteer at my local OSPCA animal shelter, so I know how much they rely on donations. This year, I encourage you to give a gift that will make a real difference to animals in need.[/threecol_two_last]
